About the Workshop

This intensive workshop introduces the theory and practice of clinical hypnosis through presentations, demonstrations, experiential exercises, and faculty-led small-group practice.

Instruction is tailored to participants’ clinical backgrounds, interests, and learning styles. Participants explore how hypnosis can complement mind-body approaches and help clients and patients draw on their strengths, resources, and problem-solving abilities.

Clinical applications discussed include habit change, pain management, and the integration of hypnosis into treatment for depression and anxiety.

Who Can Attend

Full-Time Residents & Interns

Full-time residents or interns in recognized programs may register at a reduced rate with documentation from their supervisor.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Identify and demonstrate four ways to facilitate hypnotic trance and appropriately reorient patients from a trance state.
Demonstrate three strategies for facilitating intensification of trance.
Describe four conditions in which hypnosis might be successfully utilized.

NESCH's Level II Clinical Hypnosis Workshop is designed for healthcare professionals who have completed an ASCH-approved Level I training and are ready to deepen their clinical knowledge, refine their techniques, and expand the therapeutic applications of hypnosis.

Building on foundational principles, this four-day workshop explores advanced hypnotic strategies, individualized interventions, and clinical applications across medical, dental, and mental health settings.

Through didactic presentations, faculty demonstrations, experiential exercises, and supervised small-group practice, participants strengthen their ability to integrate clinical hypnosis thoughtfully into professional practice.
